StagNet is an Anti-SPAM email forwarding service. With a StagNet account, an individual must first contact YOU, the StagNet User and request authorization. This is done through the StagNet service. This means that any SPAM, junk mail, unsolicited email is filtered out before you ever see it. No more filled inboxes, no more downloading 25 junk emails to retrieve 2 decent ones. You see only the emails from people you want to see, and the rest are deleted.
Why should you use StagNet? To prevent your email inbox from filling to the brim with SPAM and junk email from people trying to sell you everything from home loans to quick internet searches. No more chain letters from people you have never heard of.
1. Sign up for a Stagnet.cc email account. Choose a username to use in your email address. For example, if you choose a username "excalibur" your new stagnet email address would be excalibur@stagnet.cc
After signing up for a Stagnet.cc account, your new password will be emailed to the email address you entered while signing up. Use this password to log in to the User Information section of Stagnet.cc Your account will NOT be activated until after you have logged in.
2. Edit the Authorization table to Authorize or Reject specific people based on their email address. Authorize your friends and family, and ALL mailing-lists that you subscribe to. Reject anyone that you would not like to receive email from. Authorized Email sent to your Stagnet.cc account will automatically be forwarded to your regular email account. Rejected Email sent to your Stagnet.cc account will automatically be deleted. You can update the Authorization table at anytime, changing any Email Address from Authorized to Rejected or vise-versa.
3. Configure your Email delivery program to indicate your new Stagnet.cc account email address. StagNet can not filter email from your existing email address because that is sent directly to your ISP. StagNet email is sent to the StagNet email server where it is filtered before it is sent to your ISP. StagNet can not access your existing email box.
Spam companies operate on a bulk email system. It is far too time consuming and costly to attempt to email everyone individually. SPAM companies are not hammering the StagNet users with Authorization Requests because StagNet makes it difficult for the SPAM companies to contact a large number of users at once, thus preventing them from contacting any users at all.
NO! The only people that can email you through your StagNet account are people that YOU have personally authorized to do so. StagNet is set up this way to prevent a SPAM company from authorizing itself, then emailing the StagNet users.
StagNet is FREE.
You must have an active email account with another email service, such as Hotmail, or your
local ISP.
You should use your StagNet email address everywhere you use your regular email address except when ordering items online, on list servers and at times you require a confimation email from an organization that you trust not to sell your email address. The rule of thumb is, use your StagNet address to protect your private email address.
StagNet works by filtering out Unauthorized email before it ever reaches your ISP. All email addressed to your StagNet address is scanned for an Authorized Sender. If Rejected, it is Deleted. If Approved, it is forwarded to your ISP for your retrieval. If the Sender has been neither Approved nor Rejected, the Sender receives an email notifying them that they must first Request Authorization from the StagNet user. You then receive an email notifying you that the Sender is Requesting Authorization, and YOU choose to Approval or Reject them.
